Salads can easily become a main course, especially when you are on a diet. They are delicious and easy to prepare, and ready in no time. To make a great salad you don't even need to many ingredients but if you want it to be more nourishing, we suggest you add chicken or fish. Tuna is a very popular ingredient and it will give any salad a special taste. This kind of fish is often used in salads because is healthy and it's great when you are o a diet. So today we want to show you a salad recipe that includes tuna and chickpeas.
Tuna and chickpeas salad recipe
• a cup of chickpeas;
• one can of tuna;
• pickles / vinegar;
• tahini (sesame paste);
• salt and pepper to taste.
Chop the parsley and pickles fine and add them in a bowl with the boiled chickpeas and the parsley and mix them all together. Add the tuna and the sesame paste and mix again. Finally season with salt, pepper and vinegar to taste. Optionally you can add onions, tomatoes, mint, garlic, oil (any kind of oil do you prefer) or lemon juice if you are not also using vinegar or the juice from the pickles.
